Stockholm’s 110km-long metro network features 90 (out of the 100) stations filled with very impressive artwork, collectively known as the world’s longest art gallery. Since the 1950s when the phenomenon started, over 150 Swedish artists have contributed to designing different aspects of the Stockholm metro network.

Whilst posting on social media during my time roaming around the stations, I received lots of questions and comments on how cool they look – so here’s my recommendations for a self-guided tour of the best metro stations in Stockholm…
Celebrations are well underway in the UK and across the world, to celebrate HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. London is looking very special in this historic Jubilee week and I’ve been out to soak up the atmosphere and capture some photo memories.
From seeing 70 aircraft, including the RAF Red Arrows, flying over London to mark the special occasion, to capturing Union Jack bunting across the capital; from riding on the brand new Elizabeth Line, to enjoying the London Marriott Hotel County Hall‘s royal hospitality, here are some shots I’ve taken this week…

Since the first day I stepped foot in Malta, I have developed a Maltese balcony obsession. Malta’s balconies, otherwise known as the gallarija, are traditional elements of the country’s architecture. They became popular in the late 17th century, with the first balconies featuring at Valletta’s Grand Master’s Palace, which then set off this spectacular trend. I have been in complete awe of them, including their colours and structures, and how they feature on buildings all over the country. Interestingly, the colour of the balcony is matched to the door of that particular building. It is only right that I dedicate an entire blog post to photos of these architectural wonders…
