Walk 360 – the new extreme activity on top of the British Airways i360

I was invited by British Airways i360 to experience their newly-launched extreme activity, the Walk 360. This is an adrenaline-fuelled walk 450ft up in the air, on top of the BA i360 pod in Brighton! Come with me as I take you behind-the-scenes, show you the incredible open-sky views, and how you can do this yourself…

After an early morning start, I travelled from London to Brighton for my adventure. On arrival at the private event entrance, I was greeted by the super friendly BAi360 staff who were dressed in the iconic British Airways uniform and they literally made it feel like a first-class boarding experience! After going through security, they said “this way to meet your pilot” which made me laugh!

Next, I went into the briefing room where the Walk 360 instructors helped me into the safety harness and ran a short briefing on procedures. The only item I was able to take up was my phone, which had to be locked into a clear pouch for the duration of the activity. I buckled up for the pulse-racing experience on top of Brighton’s most famous landmark.

I then boarded and glided up the BA i360 pod, admiring the breathtaking early morning views of Brighton and the coastline.

After the pod reached 450ft, one of the glass panels opened. I climbed up the ladder in between the pod and the roof, whilst clipped onto the safety system.

My first steps on top of the i360 pod, 450ft up in the air, were exhilarating! I saw Brighton and the coastline from a totally new perspective during the open-air 360 degree walk…it literally felt like I was on top of the world! I even took on the challenge of leaning back and spreading my arms out wide, with the south coast below me…
