Last week, I went on my first flights since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the best feeling to be back on a plane after 17 months! I flew with British Airways for my trip to Edinburgh, out of London City Airport, and then returning back into London Heathrow Airport.
This was my first time flying from City Airport and the unique route out of London definitely makes for some great shots of the O2 arena and the city! At the end of my trip, the sunshine and blue skies on arrival into my favourite airport, Heathrow, presented me with an amazing view of Windsor Castle. After over a year of lockdowns, I have been craving a holiday for a very long time. Despite the fact that restrictions are starting to ease, the UK’s travel traffic light system realistically means that a holiday abroad still feels quite far from reach. With that in mind, I am planning to go on a few UK staycations, which I hope inspire you to explore your home country too! I went to Brighton, in East Sussex, during the end of May bank holiday weekend and with great company, sizzling sunshine and blue seas, definitely had the best time! There are so many beautiful cities in Europe, but Lisbon is definitely one of the best I have visited. It is the oldest city in Western Europe, with incredible historical sights, majestic panoramic views and vintage wooden trams. Lisbon is known as ‘the city of light’, owing to the sunshine which brightens the entire capital, with approximately 220 days of sunlight each year! Today, the snow brightened up another lockdown Sunday and brought with it some much needed cheer and happiness!
There’s no denying that 2020 has been a difficult year for us all, but thankfully the sparkly Christmas light displays have gone up around the capital, to bring some much needed joy into our lives!

St. Pancras International never fails to impress with it’s annual Christmas tree. This year’s display has been unveiled as the 34ft high ‘Tree of Hope’, in partnership with EL&N London (formerly known as Élan Café).
