Mount Fuji is a place you must visit at least once in your lifetime. It’s one of the most breathtaking sites you will ever see. The perfectly shaped volcano is the highest mountain in Japan and is the sacred symbol of the country. Located only two and a half hours away from Tokyo, a day trip is perfect to take in the beauty of Fuji.
In this blog, I’ll share my itinerary with you to help you make the most of your trip!
It’s Valentine’s Day! So what better day to share my next blog on the place I love most, than today?! Dubai is my favourite city – I’ve been four times and every time it feels so different to the last! With skyscrapers emerging from the golden sands of the Arabian Desert to becoming one of the most glamourous and futuristic cities, Dubai has it all. Here’s the top 10 reasons why I love this city!
After Christmas and New Year, the next thing I always look forward to is the deLIGHTful Canary Wharf Winter Lights display!
January saw the return of the award-winning displays for the sixth year. This year was the busiest it’s ever been, with thousands of people going to see the 25 dazzling installations.
London always knows how to ring in a new year in style. Since I was little, I’ve always watched London’s dazzling fireworks display on TV – it’s the best in the world – but I’ve never been able to go and see them in person…until this year.
2020 is a big year. It’s a new decade. So if there was any year I went to see the fireworks from the prime spot right opposite the London Eye, it had to be this year. And I am so glad I did!
Welcome to the launch of Roam with Rakhee and to my first blog post! My name is Rakhee and as the name suggests, I love to roam! I live in London and since the age of 8, I’ve had a sense of wanderlust, so you’ll probably find me being a tourist in my own city, on a plane, or in a country somewhere in the world.
My favourite subject at school and college was Geography and then I went on to pursue this at degree level – it meant I learnt about the world around me and could travel as part of my studies including to New York and Hong Kong for my undergraduate dissertation.
I am now 24 and have visited 28 countries so far – the aim is to keep the number of countries I’ve travelled to higher than my age!
