Location

Based on the riverfront with panoramic views of the Salzach River and the surrounding mountains, a 10-minute walk from Mirabell Palace and Gardens, and 15-minutes walk from Salzburg’s Old Town, this is the ideal location to stay. Salzburg Central Station is also within walking distance, so it’s perfect for travelling to and from the airport and further beyond.

Design

The hotel brings together Austrian history and modern design. Luxurious touches include a ‘Rock me Amadeus’ neon installation in the hotel’s lounge, a stylish indoor and outdoor seating area, glimpses of musical notes and a unique trumpet light display.

Service and facilities

From express check-in and check-out and baggage storage, to super fast WiFi and parking on-site, the hotel offers a range of convenient services. The hotel staff are also really friendly and helpful.

Rooms

The cosy room interiors are soft brown and beige toned, with splashes of the iconic Motel One turquoise and a ‘Rock me Amadeus’ Mozart canvas – my favourite! The large windows are sound-proof, heating is great and air-conditioning is an added bonus in summer. The windows and balconies provide stunning views of the Austrian Alps and Salzach River.

Clean, bright and fresh granite-clad bathrooms have open, walk-in showers, and luxurious towels. The bathroom amenities are great quality and feature certified organic cosmetics, made in Germany, with locally sourced ingredients.

Breakfast

Motel One Salzburg Mirabell offers a delicious buffet breakfast, with a varied range and focus on healthy food – from pastries and breads, to fruits and yoghurts.

Value for money

Motel One offers a boutique design accommodation, at an affordable rate, perfect for budget travellers. The double rooms start from €84 per night in the low season; rising to €98 in the high season. The buffet breakfast can either be included in your booking or can be added on for an additional €9.50pp.

If you are travelling to Salzburg, for all the reasons outlined above, I highly recommend staying at Motel One Salzburg Mirabell!
