Taba Heights – Why I love Egypt’s underrated holiday destination
The Egyptian resort of Taba Heights is situated in the magical Sinai Peninsula on the Red Sea coast. It is less well known compared to other popular resorts like Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada, and is isolated from the rest of Egypt, so it is definitely worth considering staying in Taba if you are planning on going to Egypt! I loved my time in Taba and here’s why…
My favourite memory of my trip to Egypt is the beautiful landscapes of Taba Heights – from the incredible vastness of Mount Sinai to the palm trees lining the pristine beaches, from the cloudless star-filled night skies to the horizon with views of nearby neighbours Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
Taba Heights is comprised of four and five star hotels, all constructed in authentic styles reminiscent of traditional Sinai and Arabian architecture. Most importantly, they are all affordable! I stayed at the 4 star Three Corners El Wekala Golf Resort and it easily became one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in – it was very spacious with two floors and beautiful balconies overlooking the Sinai Mountains. The Three Corners had a swimming pool and the beach was a short shuttle bus ride away – perfect for a relaxing break. The hotel offered an all-inclusive package, so all meals were catered for.
There are also a range of other hotels in Taba including the Sofitel, Marriott, and Movenpick.
Along with relaxing by the pool and beach, Taba is an excellent destination for scuba diving, snorkelling, camel riding, golf and dolphin spotting. So whether you are after a relaxing break or something a little more adventurous, there will definitely be more than enough things to do to keep you occupied during your holiday.
Wow, brilliant blog. Thank you for sharing.
